A message from
our CEO

We’re all about relevance.

Grow & Position Africa is a firm that wants to grow and position Africa to take up space as a leader on the world stage. As a collective of individuals, we are responding to our sense of duty to serve the citizens and to aid in unlocking the true potential South Africa and rest of Africa has to offer. We offer the relevant skillsets needed to drive reform that responds directly to the huge disparities that exist across our country and Africa at large. We do so in five key areas – consulting, empowerment, professionalisation, project management and supply.

What we aim to contribute is not primarily driven by a firm strategy or a pre-defined set of solutions but rather by our dedication to transformation. GPA embodies a commitment to citizens dependent upon public service delivery in their daily lives.

Through effective and lasting transformation, we undertake to change the face of public sector and the perception around the use of consultants within this space. The transformation agenda of government and the need for certain specialised skills, currently not within public sector are in no way mutually exclusive…in fact true transformation will only be realised when they co-exist. Thus, with the modernisation of working principles and tailored solutions underscored by bespoke skillsets, GPA aims to improve the quality of service delivery and the lives of all citizens whom we serve.

The relevance of what we do is enabled by our transformation agenda – it is what’s needed if we consider the ever-changing landscape against which government and public services operate. There is a need for continuous innovation and transformation for the various organs of state to remain relevant, as continuous adaption and reform is required at an increasingly rapid rate with social needs and demands as one of the key drivers to this ever-changing landscape.

How we plan on making an impactful contribution is not just dependant on the strength of GPA as a firm, the skills, and capabilities within it, but on the dynamic nature of our collaborations and partnerships across our network.

For GPA to make the contribution we are so passionate about, we recognise the following key collaborations (which is in no way complete or exhaustive):

  • Academia: to unlock a pathway for the right skill to enter public service
  • Professional bodies and affiliations: as key enabler to professionalise public service
  • Private sector: to enhance the quality and delivery of goods and services to the public sector.

As the founder and CEO of the GPA Group, I commit myself and the wider firm to assisting our fellow citizens in driving the much-needed transformation agenda and aid in alleviating the challenges that persist within our country and Africa. With a network of unique individuals sharing the same passion and commitment, I have no doubt that GPA can be the change that is so desperately needed.
